Flamepolishers
Shannon’s range of flame polishers are the ideal tools for the modern acrylic processing industry. With these machines it is possible to polish the saw and/or milled edges of clear acrylic in an easy way.
With a simple flame passage it is possible to polish sharp edges, round edges and cut-outs in the acrylic. Processing thicker sheets can be achieved by simply applying multiple flame passages.
The clean gas is produced by the machine through the combination of caustic solution, distilled water and M.E.K., which causes a very clean flame that is brought to the ideal polishing temperature.
The machines are delivered ready for use, This means: filled with caustic solution and distilled water, and separately 1 litre of MEK and 10 different size torch tips.

Second operator kit

Flamepolisher Service Kit
This service kit includes the needed caustic tableta, all gaskets and rubber rings. Also the gas booster tubing and black and clear tubing for the in- and outside of the machine. A service for these machines is required every 3 years.

Automatic Torch Lighter
This automatic electronic torch lighter lights your torch handle with an electronic spark. This electronic lighter can not be used for other purposes and therefor will stay with the machine. No fueled lighters are needed anymore.

Caustic Solution Tablets
The Caustic Solution tablets come in jars in in the exact weight for each model flamepolisher. These tablets need to be mixed with distilled water before it goes into our machines. New machines are already filled with caustic and distilled water.

Methyl Ethyl Ketone (M.E.K.)
Methyl Ethyl Keton, (M.E.K.) cooling liquid comes in bottles of 1 liter. Used in our flamepolishers for cooling the polishing flame to the ideal temperature. It is recommended to keep some M.E.K. in stock for your flamepolisher.

Torch Handle
Spare Torch Handle pistol for our flame polishers with a 45 degree neck. Our torch tips can be connected to the handle with a simple twist. The torch handle pistol comes without torch tips that determine the flame size.

Pressure switch
Replacement pressure switch for all our flame polishing machines. The pressure switch switches the transformer of the flamepolisher on when pressure drops. Replacement of this switch always needs to be done by a professional electrician.

We completely service your flamepolisher. We replace all gaskets, rubber rings and tubing on the in- and outside of the machine. We fill the cells with new caustic solution and distilled water. A service like this is required every 3 years!

The exchangeable Torch Tips needles for our flamepolisher range come in boxes of 10 pieces. The size of the flame needle determines the size of the flame. Always open the torch handle fully to save the lifetime of the torch tip.
